When all the noise dies down

When all the noise goes down

From the daily hustles

The troubles you go through daily

Throughout the worries of life

When all that is shut out

When alone you sit to think

When your heart and soul connect

When all of life’s worries are shut out-

Even if for a short while

Then, remains a small voice

A still small voice they say

It warns us when we make the wrong moves

It approves of our right steps

And you know what else?

It’s never wrong

So, what’s that voice?

Some say it’s our conscience

Others say it is the voice of reason

So what’s it really?

Where does it come from?

Who’s that speaking to us?

I’m reminded of a helper that Christ provided

The Holy Spirit

God speaking to us through the spirit

In a still small voice

Guiding us through life’s hurdles

Yes it’s not the only voice

And often we listen to the other voices

The usually loud ones that lead us astray

To actions we regret soon after

So let’s learn to listen to that still small voice

Shut out all the noise

And let God’s voice work transformation in your life

For He speaks to us daily

In a still small voice
